Wood. Ash. Rye. is a brand-new St. George restaurant concept created by Chef Shon Foster and Jason Neeley of Sego Restaurant in Kanab, UT in partnership with In Group Hospitality. Opening this October in the newly constructed Advenire Hotel on St. George Blvd and Main Street, Wood. Ash. Rye will feature seasonal from-scratch New American cuisine serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other prominent highlights of the restaurant will be a craft cocktail menu from the in-house lounge and a artisanal bakery with pastries and breads made daily. Wood. Ash. Rye will focus on true hospitality and the restaurant will be a lively community driven gathering place with widespread appeal. Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • Able to operate all aspects of the pastry programs. Continuously provides support to staff by actively participating in prep where applicable.
  • Supports the team (Hospitality and Kitchen) whenever needed (e.g, call-outs, catering, etc.)
  • Held to following and creating various seasonal and standard recipes with specifications as set forth by the Executive Chef & Chef de Cuisine, including standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and ingredients
  • Has intimate knowledge of Department of Health standards and uses them as a guide to keep kitchen spaces tidy.
  • Held accountable to set up/break down of the pastry kitchen
  • Maintains a clean and stocked workplace, kitchen area, storage area, and walk-in space.
  • Works to maintain the appropriate amount of product in house.
